Your camera has been creating a high volume of video.

This could be motion clips, live view, or a combination of both. Cameras with a recent history of heavy use will display an indicator (i) next to the camera name.

With standard use Blink's batteries should last two years. Standard use is defined as 4,000 five-second events per year (or 40,000 total seconds of video recording, including Live View usage, over two years). More motion clips and more live views means more usage and will result in shorter battery life. Other factors that affect battery life are a slow internet connection, poor wifi strength, and using the camera's illuminator.

How to improve battery life:

- If you are getting more motion clips than you are expecting, try repositioning your camera to reduce the possibility of a false trigger.

- Reduce the use of the illuminator when not necessary. Try setting the illuminator to auto instead of always-on; and lower the brightness setting if possible.

- A high speed internet connection with a minimum of 2 Mbit/sec is required. Faster is better.

- Position your camera to assure a strong connection to your wifi.
